Portrait of fine jewelry designer Kestrel Dillon

Kestrel Dillon

takes inspiration from the small details, colors and textures of the Southwestern topography she grew up in. After transplanting from Arizona to New York in her early 20’s, Kestrel discovered a love of making small, wearable art. She fell down the jewelry-making rabbit hole and completed a BFA in Jewelry Design at Pratt Institute in 2020. Her work stems from her personal sense of place and sense of self that she has developed through desert botanicals. She now primarily creates fine jewelry for her own line, Kestrel Dillon Jewelry, and teaches wax carving and other jewelry-making skills in Brooklyn, NY. Her work can be viewed at the Natural History Institute Gallery in Prescott, AZ, the Rebecca Myers Collection in Baltimore, MD and Fitzgerald Jewelry in Brooklyn, NY.
